Ok, maybe that's a bit negative, but given recent events it does kind of feel like our great nation is in deep trouble.

There is a certain smug satisfaction in knowing I was right.  When Bush first started using executive orders to do blatantly unconstitutional things, I said this whole thing would get ugly.  I was shouted down by Republicans who believed that Bush's use of said EOs were perfectly ok and would in no way ever be abused.  I wonder what they're thinking now?
