Scanning my hard drive and indexing all my media files...fine... that's actually a bit convenient.  But to decide arbitrarily to remove things and force me to accept them from a remote server? FUCK that noise.  What if you're on a limited data plan with your ISP like so many are?

There's a *reason* we have hard drives, Apple.  It's not to merely install and run your bloated malware that masquerades as a media player/library/store/iPhone diddler program.

These people expected the cops to jump in a friggin' pond in FLORIDA at about 4am and somehow manage to open the car these teens were in, and rescue them...before they drowned?

This is the vehicle & the pond this happened at.

Notice how the pond looks kind of like grass until you look closely at it? That's in broad daylight.  Try looking at it at 4am.  Then there's the vegetation that's all over the car, so anyone who DID manage to get into the water, find the car (in some seriously murky waters,) and find footing would also risk getting tangled up in that shit.  Any diver will tell you getting tangled up is tantamount to a death sentence, unless they have a dive knife & are able to free themselves.

Sorry, haters,  The cops aren't to blame for this one.

Cops have killed one of the suspect.
Suspects threw out explosives and the cops are dealing with them.
One of the suspects is still at large, armed, and likely has explosives.

This is completely fucking unreal.  Seriously.

And now, a shooting at MIT that turned REAL ugly.

It's still ongoing, but there's word of lots of gun fire, a stolen police SUV, and grenades.

An arsenal of more than 300 guns, many of them illegal, has been seized from a Long Island home around the corner from a high school, and the homeowner was arrested, authorities said Thursday.

Jay Steiner, 66, was arrested in late January after an undercover Suffolk police officer visited his Centereach home.
Steiner has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and is free on bail.
"Wow!" said one surprised neighbor. "That's a lot of guns. It's scary." 
Police were acting on a tip from a gun owner who had taken his weapon to Steiner, said Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota.
The guns were stored all throughout the house," said Spota, as he stood in front of a table filled with the seized weapons.
In all, 85 illegal handguns and 230 rifles and shotguns were found, as well as thousands of rounds of ammunition.
"He had more firepower than the detectives who arrested him," said Spota.
Investigators said Steiner had once held a federal gun license, permitting him to buy and sell weapons, but it expired in 2004.
Steiner maintained a business card, prosecutors said, displaying that expired license number.
Several calls to Steiner's lawyer, William Eppig of West Islip, were not returned.
It's unclear what the Centereach man was doing with all the guns.
The guns are being examined to determine whether any have been stolen or used in crimes.  
Steiner had no pistol license for any of the handguns, according to Spota.
